On September 23rd EGOI held its first conference in Sofia, Bulgaria.
On this occasion, Chairman Prof. Zdravko Kamenov, co-founders Prof. Vittorio Unfer & Fabio Facchinetti, and all EGOI members discussed the current evidence on Inositol treatment in clinical practise, as well as the emerging role of D-chiro-inositol.
During the meeting, all members shared and signed the position paper.
The position paper, which is intended to represent the Group “manifesto” of their mission, includes the established evidence on inositols and updates on recent research, namely concerning D-chiro-Ins involvement into steroidogenesis.
EGOI’s future meetings will be held every two years in the countries where the members operate.
The second EGOI meeting will take place in 2023 in Taormina, hosted by Prof. R. D’Anna.
